For those contemplating prevocational study, QIAE’s Certificate IV in Aeroskills institutional pathway constitutes an established inroad into the Aviation Industry for individuals seeking to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), and with additional training, a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME).
The institutional pathway program offered by QIAE enables its students to first complete the theory component of their training in one year as a full-time student before commencing their apprenticeship with an employer as a second-year apprentice.
Upon completion of this course, QIAE will secure, for each student, a place with a highly-regarded, prospective employer within the Aviation Maintenance Industry, for a period of full-time, unpaid work experience. This period is an exciting prospect for many students, as it allows them to observe and effectively partake in the operation of a real maintenance facility. Potentially, this placement may also assist students in embarking upon the next stage of their training by means of facilitating their obtainment of an apprenticeship.
